Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Snap Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matty Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Davis is trying to defend but Johnson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Davis slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Davis wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Davis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Davis wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Davis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Davis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Johnson is looking for a sweep. Davis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Davis wants to take a breather but Johnson is having none of it.

Davis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Johnson sees it coming and defends easily.
Johnson wants to get back to full guard.
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Johnson is looking to escape.
Davis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Johnson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Davis doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.

Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Johnson counters with a left and a right... And another left! Davis is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
