The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Jackson punishes Filho's body with a nice straight punch.
Jackson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jackson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Filho has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Filho and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Filho looks for a takedown but Jackson sprawls well.

Jackson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Jackson's corner calls for a 1-2. Jackson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Filho takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Filho shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jackson as he jumps to the side.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Filho paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Filho misses with a takedown attempt - Jackson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulo Filho. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jackson lands with a big left! Filho is wobbled badly! Jackson comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Filho to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
