Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fraklin Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esko Jazz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jazz comes into a darkened arena with his song building. AC/DC - Back in Black kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fraklin Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Esko Jazz!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksandr Martynov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with a takedown attempt - Jazz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jazz throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.
Jazz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Jazz throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Esko Jazz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Smith scores a takedown into full mount!

Smith is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jazz has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Smith looking to secure an arm triangle but Jazz defends it well.
Smith can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jazz is looking to escape.

Smith has control of Jazz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jazz regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Jazz is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Smith lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Smith throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith cracks Jazz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Smith wants to finish this one by submission but Jazz is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Smith.
Jazz is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Smith is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jazz can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Jazz wants to get back to his feet.

Smith with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Smith working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Jazz looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Smith! Submission of the night perhaps?
