The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush just misses with a punch to the body.

Rush darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Nanini won't allow Rush to pass to mount.
Nanini tries to roll over but Rush keeps him under control.
Rush wants to control but Nanini is keeping him busy.
Rush controlling the action here.
Nanini is not content to let Rush control the position.
Rush trying to mount his opponent but Nanini defends it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they both work up against the meshing.

Rush shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rush showed some decent athleticism there.
Nanini is not content to let Rush control the position.
Rush tries to pass to full mount but Nanini defends it.

Rush wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nanini keeps working.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rush thows a huge punch but Nanini dodges it nicely.

Rush postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nanini is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rush, into his guard.

Nanini is posturing up here but Rush has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Nanini tries to roll out but it's too tight and Nanini has to tap! Slick submission there by Rush!
