Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derek Merryweather (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirosvaldo Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Derek Merryweather looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Karelin wants it to stay on the feet.

I looks like Karelin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Merryweather shoots for a double leg takedown but Karelin sprawls well. He's pushed Merryweather's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Well Karelin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
