Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Kabal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy D!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
D tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kabal paws at him with a jab and circles away.

D displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kabal throws out the jab.
Kabal fakes high and swings low for a body shot but D manages to avoid it.
D bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
D uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kabal.

Kabal loads up on a big right hand but D slips the punch.

D closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - D lands in his opponent's guard.
Kabal will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kabal knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for D on the ground.
D stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kabal swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kabal wants to sweep here but D controlling him for the moment.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

D shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kabal manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
D throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kabal works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
D sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kabal's guard.

D looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kabal with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

D is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kabal knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

D tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no D has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
D has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
