Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sluggo Brott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ken Kelly will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sluggo Brott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Kelly!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brott throws a right hand that Kelly ducks under and follows up with a left that Kelly also avoids with ease.
Kelly uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brott.
Brott throws a hook but Kelly blocks it.

Kelly moves into range and clinches up with Brott.
Kelly stops a takedown attempt from Brott.
Kelly lands a hook that snaps the head of Brott backwards.
Brott goes for a takedown attempt but Kelly pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kelly fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Brott is out of range.
Brott circles away from the clinch attempt.
Brott looks to land a combination but Kelly avoids it well.
Brott throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brott lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kelly lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Brott at a distance.
Kelly fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A jab from Kelly does it's job there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kelly cracks a nice hook into Brott's ribs.
Brott is breathing heavily.

Kelly closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kelly lands in his opponent's guard.
Kelly trying to control the position from guard on top but Brott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kelly slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Kelly postures up and lands a big shot to Brott's brow.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kelly thows a big elbow that misses.
Kelly throws a strike but Brott rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Brott trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Kelly manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kelly is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Brott tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kelly trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Brott bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kelly looking to control.
Brott tries to free his leg and advance position but Kelly is retaining full guard.
Kelly has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Brott trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Brott is looking to advance position but Kelly has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Kelly working the ground and pound effectively.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kelly is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Brott to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Brott shrugs it off.

Kelly is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Brott can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Kelly trying to control but Brott is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kelly with a couple of short strikes.
Brott is in all sorts of trouble here.

Kelly jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Brott is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Brott and Kelly has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Brott is looking for a sweep.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brott is not content to let Kelly control the position.
Kelly lands a few punches from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ken Kelly dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Brott jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kelly uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brott.
Brott keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kelly.
Brott throws an overhand right that lands on Kelly's shoulder, as Kelly tries to avoid the shot.
Kelly misses with an uppercut.
Kelly lands a jab to the nose.
Brott keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kelly looks to throw the jab but Brott is out of range.
A left lands for Kelly.
Brott closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Brott scores with a hook to the body. Kelly takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Brott scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Kelly throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Brott sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Brott slips a jab from Kelly.
Kelly uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brott.
Brott getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kelly tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kelly chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kelly swings for the body but Brott moves out of range.
Brott dodges the punch combination from Kelly.
Brott misses with a looping left.
Some wild striking there from Brott.
Brott misses with a looping right.
Kelly catches Brott with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Brott throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kelly throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Brott misses with a body shot.
Kelly connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Brott momentarily.
Kelly looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brott throws an overhand right that lands on Kelly's shoulder, as Kelly tries to avoid the shot.
Brott shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kelly as he avoids it easily.

Kelly drops Brott with a right and a left! Kelly comes rushing in but Brott regains his composure and manages to keep Kelly in guard.


Brott is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kelly postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Brott covers up, he's hurt! Kelly keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Kelly and the ref steps in to end the fight! Kelly can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ken Kelly!
