Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro piui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Broken Beat and Scarred. Phil Black has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from piui.
Black moves in looking to clinch but piui pushes him off.

Black fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. piui sprawls well initially but Black persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

piui drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and piui jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Black here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Black is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Black seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but piui does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
