Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shang Tsung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ala Potku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tsung comes to the cage accompanied by Mortal Kombat Theme Remix. Potku is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by BOOOOOT!!!. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ala Potku!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potku fails to land with a series of punches.
Tsung gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Potku throws a right and a left that both miss.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Potku.
Potku tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tsung swivels and escapes.
Tsung thuds his right hand into Potku's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Tsung leaves Potku with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Shang Tsung has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ala Potku.
Tsung feints and then cracks Potku's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Potku down.
Nice body punch from Tsung.
Potku swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Potku shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tsung defends it nicely.
Tsung fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Potku.

Tsung clinches up with Potku and pushes him back against the cage.
Potku blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Tsung lands a hook that snaps the head of Potku backwards.
Tsung comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Tsung.

Tsung lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Potku tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Tsung holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Tsung has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Potku is working away from the top position though.
Tsung moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Potku in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Tsung manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Potku manages to get himself to full guard.
Tsung slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Potku tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Potku has his foot on Tsung's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tsung works his way back into a safe position though.
Potku is looking for a triangle but Tsung pushes his legs off easily.
Tsung stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Potku swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tsung is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Potku is looking to sweep but instead, Tsung has passed into half guard.
Potku is trying to maintain the position but Tsung is very close to passing his half guard.

Potku wants to improve his position but Tsung is controlling well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Potku looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tsung is one step ahead there.

Potku is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Tsung manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Potku manages to get himself to full guard.
Potku throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Tsung escapes and throws Potku's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Potku is breathing heavily.
Tsung works to advance to full mount. Potku defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Potku is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Tsung can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Potku is looking to escape.
Tsung manages to capitalize on a mistake by Potku to take his back!

Potku tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Potku is wriggling around trying to escape.
Potku is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Tsung tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Shang Tsung will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Potku crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tsung - the referee stops the clock and Potku gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tsung. Potku manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Potku throws a nice looking combination but Tsung bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Potku shoots in for a takedown but Tsung shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Potku throws a hook to the side of Tsung's head but Tsung sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Potku shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tsung as he avoids it easily.

Tsung lands a really nice looking cross but Potku seems unphased.
Potku misses with an uppercut. Tsung saw that one coming.
Tsung throws a quick inside leg kick.

Potku has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tsung finds it's way round the side to connect with Potku's head.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tsung, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
