The crowd seem to be enjoying Bong's choice of entrance music: Hits From The Bong. The key to victory for Alexei Ainvaihees has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bong is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Ainvaihees closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bong is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bong gets back to half guard.
Bong tries to get to full guard but Ainvaihees has control of the leg.

Ainvaihees is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bong is trying to control but can't.

Bong moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bong seems keen to control Ainvaihees's posture.
Bong is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Ainvaihees really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bong looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Bong keeping moving, preventing Ainvaihees from controlling successfully.

Bong working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ainvaihees doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ainvaihees manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bong is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ainvaihees wants to get back to his feet.
Bong is controlling the pace.
Bong frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Bong goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Ainvaihees turns into him and now he's in Bong's guard.
Ainvaihees would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Bong is looking to sinch up a triangle. Ainvaihees throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Bong's body to avoid the submission. Bong has instead reached around Ainvaihees's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Bong arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
