PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Robson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jui Jitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jui Jitsu was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Robson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jui Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jitsu is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jitsu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Robson pinned against the cage. Robson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jitsu looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Robson clinches up against the cage.

Robson breaks from the clinch.
Left hook, right uppercut from Jitsu.

It looks like Nathan Robson has been cut.
Robson misses with a head kick.
Jitsu keeps the fight on the outside.
Jui Jitsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jitsu lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Jitsu shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Robson as he jumps to the side.
Nathan Robson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jui Jitsu.

Jitsu shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jitsu showed some decent athleticism there.

Jitsu blocks the strikes from Robson.

Jitsu stands up out of the half guard.
Jitsu stalks Robson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Robson's face. Robson staggers backwards, shaken.

Jitsu gets the takedown into side control.

Jitsu working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Robson sneaks back into half guard.

Robson manages to get to full guard.
Jitsu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Robson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jitsu trying to control but Robson is working from the bottom.

Jitsu drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Robson dives on top into guard.
Jitsu looks gassed!
Robson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Robson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Jitsu controls Robson momentarily but Robson frees himself.

Jitsu had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Robson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jitsu Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Robson's back instead.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Jitsu's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Jitsu looking to break Robson's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Robson remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Jitsu will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Jitsu working for a choke but Robson reverses nicely into Jitsu 's guard.
Robson tries to free his leg and advance position but Jitsu is retaining full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Jitsu throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Robson escapes and throws Jitsu's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Robson has hold of Jitsu's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jitsu tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Robson cranks the arm and Jitsu screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jitsu, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
