Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Azh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Azh comes to the cage accompanied by Manu Militari - Voix De Fait. Connor has chosen Dropkick Murphys-Rocky Road To Dublin as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor misses with an uppercut.
Connor tries to clinch up.
Azh takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Azh misses with a series of wild punches.
A solid leg kick lands there for Connor.

Connor closes the distance and clinches.
Connor lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Connor.
Azh trying to stall but Connor improves his position.
Connor lands an elbow that stopped Azh in his tracks for a moment.
Connor throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Azh blocks it with crossed arms.

Connor pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Azh will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Connor moves in looking to clinch but Azh pushes him off.
Azh shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Connor defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Azh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Connor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Connor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Willie Connor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Connor moves out of range of the strikes.

Azh throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Connor was covering up waiting for the punch and Azh finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Azh advances position into side control!

Connor manages to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Azh looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Azh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Connor with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Connor moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Connor trying to keep a closed guard but Azh is proving a slippery customer.
Azh passes into half guard.

Connor is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Azh wants to free his trapped foot but Connor is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Azh is thwarting Connor's attempts to control the position.
Connor wants to get back to full guard.
Connor wants to control but Azh is keeping busy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Azh throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Connor swings for the body but Azh moves out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Azh fails with the takedown.
Azh bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Connor's head backwards.
Azh lands a head shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Connor just misses with a punch to the body.
Andre Azh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Azh moves into range and connects with a jab.
Azh fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Connor cracks a nice hook into Azh's ribs.
Connor swings away with a body shot that misses
and Azh counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Connor tried to score with a low kick but Azh checks it.
Azh shoots in for a double leg but Connor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Azh dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Connor. That did some damage!
Connor tries to clinch but Azh is having none of it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Connor pushes off an throws an elbow but Azh leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Willie Connor seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Azh takes an elbow to the forehead.
Connor is breathing heavily.
A left hand lands to the body for Connor.

Azh pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Connor misses with a leg kick.
A big left from Connor misses.
Connor takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Azh displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Connor is rocked!
Azh takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Connor is still on wobbly legs! Can Azh finish him?
Connor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Azh moves away.
Azh connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Connor to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Azh!
