PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Otis B Driftwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Norton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Norton.

Norton tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Driftwood wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Norton advances to full mount.
Driftwood is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Driftwood bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Driftwood might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Norton is trying to control the position but Driftwood postures up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Norton is on top in guard.

Driftwood manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Norton manages to get himself to full guard.

Norton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Driftwood doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Driftwood manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Driftwood is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Driftwood is looking to work some ground and pound but Norton has wrist control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Driftwood tries to clinch but Norton moves out of range.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Driftwood goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Norton is on top in guard.
Norton slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Driftwood is working for a rear naked choke. Norton is not defending it well and Driftwood has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Norton refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Norton's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
