The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flats throws an overhand right that lands on Swagger's shoulder, as Swagger tries to avoid the shot.
Swagger tries to clinch there but Flats circles away.
Swagger tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flats swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Swagger tries to clinch but Flats moves out of range.
Flats tries to clinch up.
Larry Flats seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Swagger or perhaps it was just good defense by Flats which made him look bad.
A head kick misses from Swagger.
Flats throws a hook but Swagger avoids it easily.
Flats connects with a good right hand that stumbles Swagger. Swagger circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Flats jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Flats moves into the clinch.
Swagger is trying to drag Flats to the mat but Flats just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Swagger tries for a takedown but Flats manages to get underhooks.
Larry Flats has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sammy Swagger.
Swagger is trying to stall.
Flats stops a takedown attempt from Swagger.
Flats digs a right hand into Swagger's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Swagger's gas tank.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Flats lands a shot to the body.
Flats is looking to break free of the clinch but Swagger has double underhooks.

Swagger changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Flats fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Flats lands a left and a right that send Swagger crashing to the mat, dazed. Flats thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Swagger is rocked!

It looks like Sammy Swagger has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Flats throws a pinpoint strike between Swagger's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Swagger crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Flats scores a great knockout victory!
