Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Astro Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Kambei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kambei has chosen Iron Butterfly-In the Garden of Eden as his entrance music. Akira Kambei will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Astro Boy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Kambei!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy slips a jab and a cross from Kambei.
Kambei fails to land with a series of punches.

Boy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kambei has his hands clasped together around Boy's back. He's all about the action.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Kambei has hold of Boy's hands but Boy slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Boy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kambei tries to avoid it but Boy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kambei to the ground. Kambei escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Boy takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Boy dives in and grabs Kambei's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kambei pushes down on Boy's head and hops out.

Kambei is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Boy knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Boy for a finish.

Boy is having to fend off submission attempts from Kambei, who is looking to sink in the choke. Kambei doesn't have the hooks in though and Boy manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kambei is on top in guard.

Kambei goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Boy rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kambei's guard! Nice work there by Boy!
Boy distracts Kambei with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

That was a close round but I would say that Astro Boy will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kambei stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kambei wants it to stay on the feet.
Kambei throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Boy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kambei just misses with a punch to the body.
Astro Boy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kambei throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
