PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Misunami Tienampo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuki Tamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Misunami Tienampo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuki Tamura!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Tamura does no damage.
Tamura tries to clinch but Tienampo is having none of it.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Tamura rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tienampo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Tamura throws out a loose jab but Tienampo uses good head movement to avoid it.

so Tamura counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Tamura walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Tienampo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Tamura will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Tienampo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tamura.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Tienampo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Tamura stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tienampo.

and Tienampo finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Tienampo just misses with a elbow thrown towards Tamura's brow.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Yuki Tamura comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tamura has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
