Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Gavrik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Fajardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolai Gavrik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gavrik misses with a double jab.
Gavrik swinging wildly here.
Fajardo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gavrik.
Horrible takedown by Fajardo or perhaps it was just good defense by Gavrik which made him look bad.
Fajardo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Gavrik wants to control but Fajardo is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Fajardo decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Fajardo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gavrik's waist but Gavrik gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fajardo off to one side.
Fajardo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gavrik avoids it really well and circles away.
Nikolai Gavrik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Fajardo.
Gavrik shoots and misses
and Fajardo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gavrik won't be happy with that.
Gavrik on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gavrik tries to get out of the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fajardo passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Gavrik!
Fajardo landing strikes, looking to finish!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gavrik defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Fajardo.
Fajardo looks gassed!
Gavrik is looking to improve his position but Fajardo isn't that keen on the idea.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gavrik wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fajardo blocks Gavrik's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Gavrik is trying to stand.
Gavrik keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Gavrik tries to hold on but Fajardo postures up.
Gavrik is trying to escape the mount.
Gavrik throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fajardo avoids the attempt from Gavrik to control.
Fajardo cracks Gavrik with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Gavrik defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Fajardo.
Fajardo looking to isolate an arm here. Gavrik doesn't see it coming and as Fajardo extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Fajardo!
