A telegraphed takedown attempt from Roman is defended easily by Almer.
Roman closes the distance and clinches up with Almer, looking for a takedown. Roman pushes Almer against the cage but Almer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Roman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Almer throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Roman on the side of the head.
Fabian Roman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
