The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smasha gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jobber vX fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Smasha is pushing Jobber vX up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Jobber vX working hard to break the clinch.
Jobber vX fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jobber vX wants to break free but Smasha has control.
Smasha lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Smasha takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Jobber vX tries to break free but Smasha pushes him back against the cage.
Jobber vX tries for a takedown but Smasha manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xv Jobber vX. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Smasha breaks from the clinch.

Jobber vX gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Smasha to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Smasha controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Smasha gets to his feet. Jobber vX looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Jobber vX shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Smasha counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Smasha.
Jobber vX tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Smasha escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jobber vX really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Smasha lands a left and a right that send Jobber vX crashing to the mat, dazed. Smasha thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Jobber vX is rocked!
Smasha closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Jobber vX out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
