The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matola waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Debourgh.
Debourgh avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Matola misses with a looping left.

Matola is looking to escape.

Debourgh escapes and gets back to his feet.
Matola throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Debourgh.

Matola wants to stand back up but Debourgh manages to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Debourgh lands a decent elbow from side control.

Debourgh is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Matola knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Matola tries to improve his position but Debourgh has taken his back! Debourgh has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Matola tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Debourgh Pushes Matola away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
