PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rellik X (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam MacIntyre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). X's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I Gotta Feeling. MacIntyre has chosen Forever, by Throwdown as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from X both land. Nice combination.
MacIntyre changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. X tries to avoid it but MacIntyre manages to keep hold of a leg and drag X to the ground. X escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
MacIntyre slips a jab and a cross from X.
X throws a nice looking combination but MacIntyre bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

X is trying to stand back up but MacIntyre is controlling him

X stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and X wants it to stay on the feet.

X tries to close the distance and clinch up but MacIntyre swats him away and circles back towards the center.
X lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
MacIntyre fails with a takedown attempt.

X feints and then cracks MacIntyre's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow MacIntyre down.

MacIntyre takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
MacIntyre shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with X but X pushes him off and we're back to square one.

X has taken the fight to the clinch.
X crunches a lovely knee into MacIntyre's ribcage.

X pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rellik X seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

MacIntyre looks for a takedown but X sprawls well.
X closes the distance and lands a one-two.
MacIntyre takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
X dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on MacIntyre. That did some damage!
X fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

MacIntyre gets a takedown into half guard.
X tries to kick MacIntyre off but MacIntyre keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
MacIntyre throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
X is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rellik X dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

X takes the fight into the clinch.
MacIntyre drops down looking for an ankle pick but X pulls his leg out and moves away.

MacIntyre changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. X looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
MacIntyre prevents X from escaping the position.
X is not content to let MacIntyre control the position.
The ground and pound from MacIntyre seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
X is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but MacIntyre has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

X clinches up against the cage.
MacIntyre jumps guard but X stands there with MacIntyre around his waist. MacIntyre gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

X successfully pulls guard.
MacIntyre throws a strike but X rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
X wants to stand and escape but instead MacIntyre has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

X has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes MacIntyre off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
MacIntyre shoots in for a takedown but X shows good takedown defense.
X throws a series of strikes that have MacIntyre backpedaling.
X throws a series of punches but MacIntyre moves out of range.

X throws a right and a left that MacIntyre avoids nicely.

X moves into the clinch successfully.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

X wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
MacIntyre is looking to control X's arms but X gets an underhook and turns him. Now MacIntyre has his back to the cage.
X tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and MacIntyre avoids it.

MacIntyre jumps guard and drags X to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
X is looking to stand up but MacIntyre won't let him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
