Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeo Pardy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Barack Obama!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pardy shoots for a double leg takedown but Obama sprawls well. He's pushed Pardy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Pardy fails with a takedown attempt.
A head kick misses from Obama.
Pardy throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pardy throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Pardy counters with a shoot takedown. Obama fights it but they end up in guard.
Obama is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pardy has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Obama is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pardy.

Pardy has his foot on Obama's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Obama works his way back into a safe position though.

Pardy had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Obama is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pardy Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Obama's back instead.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
