Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ash Ketchum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remero Riggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Remero Riggs looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ash Ketchum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Remero Riggs!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riggs stuffs the takedown.
Ketchum dives in and grabs Riggs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Riggs pushes down on Ketchum's head and hops out.
Riggs leaves Ketchum with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ash Ketchum. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Riggs fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ketchum shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Riggs pinned against the cage. Riggs gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ketchum looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ketchum is breathing heavily.
Ketchum tries for a takedown but Riggs sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Riggs throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ketchum was covering up waiting for the punch and Riggs finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Riggs content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Riggs seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ketchum does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Riggs lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ketchum is bucking up trying to escape but Riggs cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Ketchum takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Riggs is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Riggs tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Riggs looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ketchum!
Riggs pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Ketchum sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Ketchum is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Riggs looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ketchum with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Riggs landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Ketchum tries to get to full guard but Riggs has control of the leg.

Riggs lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Ketchum on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ketchum tries to get out of the position.
Riggs is taking a breather. Ketchum says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Riggs works his way into side control.
Remero Riggs has got the better of the ground game so far.
Ketchum takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Riggs lands a few punches from side control.
Riggs creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
A lull in the action here as Riggs stalls from top position.
Ketchum regains half guard.

Riggs wants to pass the guard but Ketchum is defending well.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Riggs lands a nice short elbow.
Riggs is just content to waste time from the top position. Ketchum takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Ketchum keeping moving, preventing Riggs from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Remero Riggs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Riggs wants to free his trapped foot but Ketchum is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Ketchum moves into full guard.

Riggs trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Ketchum manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ketchum gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Riggs decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Ash Ketchum has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Remero Riggs is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Riggs is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ketchum's shoulder. That is not cool.

Remero Riggs comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Riggs has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
