The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Cole is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kowalczyk sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kowalczyk looks to score with a jab to the body but Cole is just out of range.

Kowalczyk loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Cole scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Kowalczyk land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Kowalczyk stands and salutes the crowd.
