The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Leary displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from O Conner.
O Conner dives in and grabs O Leary's left leg, looking for a takedown. O Leary pushes down on O Conner's head and hops out.
O Conner gets cracked with a nice right hand there by O Leary.

It looks like David O Conner has been cut.

O Conner scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
O Conner prevents O Leary from escaping the position.
O Leary really doesn't want to stay on the ground with O Conner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
O Leary wants to control but O Conner postures up.
O Leary tries to improve position but can't.

O Conner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
O Leary won't allow O Conner to get back to his feet.
O Leary is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

O Leary trying to control but O Conner is working from the bottom.
