The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avleski swinging wilding here.
Cash Pocket looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Horrible takedown by Cash Pocket or perhaps it was just good defense by Avleski which made him look bad.

Avleski shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Avleski was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Avleski cracks Cash Pocket with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Avleski goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Cash Pocket is on top in guard.
Avleski has control of Cash Pocket's left arm, preventing Cash Pocket from doing any damage.

Cash Pocket stands up out of Avleski's guard for a moment - Avleski manages to land a nice upkick.
Cash Pocket postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Avleski wants to sweep here but Cash Pocket controlling him for the moment.
Avleski trying to keep a closed guard but Cash Pocket is proving a slippery customer.
Avleski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cash Pocket manages to get himself to full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Avleski decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Avleski drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cash Pocket utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Avleski stands up over Cash Pocket, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Avleski stands up from Cash Pocket's guard - Avleski perhaps looking for a knockout.

Avleski drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
A lull in the action here as Avleski stalls from top position.
Cash Pocket tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Avleski wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Avleski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cash Pocket. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Avleski is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cash Pocket has escaped the position, nice work there.
Avleski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cash Pocket keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrei Avleski dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Avleski swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cash Pocket wants to clinch up but Avleski keeps it at a distance.

Avleski drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Avleski in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Avleski stands up.

Avleski scores with a takedown into Cash Pocket's guard.

Avleski stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cash Pocket gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Avleski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cash Pocket is keeping the position for now.
Avleski is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Avleski wants to pass the guard but Cash Pocket is keeping the position.

Cash Pocket keeping moving, preventing Avleski from controlling successfully.
Avleski advances position into side control!
Cash Pocket tries to bench press Avleski off him but Avleski keeps the position.

Avleski has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Cash Pocket shoots and misses
and Cash Pocket takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Avleski knocks Cash Pocket to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?


Cash Pocket is rocked!
Avleski scoring with punches from side control.
Oh Cash Pocket is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cash Pocket is working to avoid the ground and pound but Avleski connects with a decent elbow.
Cash Pocket seems to have got his legs back now.
Avleski scores with a couple of short elbows.

Avleski wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cash Pocket, who protects the arm well.

Avleski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Avleski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Avleski moves into full mount!
Cash Pocket is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Avleski turns him over and now has his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrei Avleski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Avleski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Avleski working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cash Pocket's head.
Avleski slips nicely into half guard.
Avleski tries to pass to full mount but Cash Pocket defends it.
Cash Pocket tries to get to full guard but Avleski has control of the leg.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Cash Pocket on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Avleski is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Avleski winds up and cracks Cash Pocket with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Avleski connects with a nice short shot to Cash Pocket's temple.
Cash Pocket is staying active underneath Avleski, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Avleski winds up and cracks Cash Pocket with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Cash Pocket is not content to let Avleski control the position.
Avleski is looking to advance position but Cash Pocket won't allow it.
Cash Pocket tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Andrei Avleski has got the better of the ground game so far.

Avleski seems to be looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Avleski has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Cash Pocket defend it? Avleski steps over the head and cranks it - Cash Pocket is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Avleski!
