Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tre Tanks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonnis Koc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tre Tanks has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tre Tanks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jonnis Koc!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Koc bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tanks gets back to half guard.
Tanks is looking to improve his position.

Tanks looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Tanks trying to control but Koc postures up.
Koc is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Koc pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tanks is keeping the position for now.
Koc throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tanks works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Koc postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Tanks controls Koc momentarily but Koc frees himself.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Tanks closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Tanks is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Koc doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tanks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Koc is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tanks slips a nice elbow through Koc's hands, connecting with Koc's forehead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Koc is in trouble now - Tanks has advanced to mount!
Koc swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Tanks avoids the attempt from Koc to control.
Koc regains half guard.
Koc tries to get to full guard but Tanks has control of the leg.
Koc looks gassed!
Koc is trying to control but can't.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tanks sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Tanks is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Koc wants to improve his position but Tanks is controlling well.
Tanks passes to full mount!
Tanks controlling the pace for now.
Koc is desperately trying to improve his position but Tanks has a good base and remains in mount.
Tanks looking to control but Koc is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Tanks looking to control and managing it successfully.

Tanks is trying to take his opponent's back.
Tanks is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Koc wants to hold on but Tanks pushes him away.
Koc is desperately trying to improve his position but Tanks has a good base and remains in mount.

Tanks has hold of Koc's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Koc manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Koc is wriggling around trying to escape.
Tanks looking to control and managing it successfully.
Koc tries to hold on but Tanks postures up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Koc is trying to escape the mount.
Koc is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Koc gets back to half guard.
Koc regains full guard. Nicely done.
Tanks won't allow Koc to sweep him here.
Koc lands a good elbow from the bottom.

Koc looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Tanks trying to control but Koc is working from the bottom.
Tanks wants to stand but Koc is controlling his posture from full guard.
Koc keeping moving, preventing Tanks from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tre Tanks will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Koc decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Tanks counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Koc!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Koc sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Koc trying to hold on to Tanks's head to control him but Tanks postures up.

Koc looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Koc is pressing down on Tanks's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Tanks is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Tanks stands and steps away. Koc gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Tanks darts in and clinches Koc up against the cage.

Tanks has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Koc uses from the top position.
Tanks throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Tanks throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Koc drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tanks manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Koc has Tanks in his guard.
Tanks forces his way into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tanks connects with a nice short shot to Koc's temple.

Tanks is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Koc is just riding it out for now. Tanks eventually gives up the hold.

Tanks wants to control but Koc is keeping him busy.

Koc misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Tanks works his foot free and advances to mount.
Koc is squirming around, avoiding Tanks's attempts to control the action.
Tanks prevents Koc from getting the reversal.
Koc tries to hold on but Tanks postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Tanks is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Tanks misses with a takedown

and Koc counters with a single leg into guard. Tanks didn't expect that.
Koc wants to get up but he can't break Tanks's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Tanks is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Koc scoring with punches to the head and body.
Koc wants to pass the guard but Tanks is keeping the position.
Koc wants to control from the top but Tanks keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Koc drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Koc jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Koc closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Tanks gets full guard.
Tanks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Koc trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Tanks pushes a forearm under Koc's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Koc is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tre Tanks!
