Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andry Star (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Bosse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Bosse is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andry Star!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Bosse!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bosse throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Bosse fails with a takedown attempt.

Bosse fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Star sprawls well initially but Bosse persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bosse tries to pass to full mount but Star defends it.
Bosse winds up and cracks Star with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bosse is pressing down on Star's thigh, looking to free his foot. Star is holding on for now.
Bosse seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Star is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Star is trying to get back to full guard.
Bosse has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Star tries to clinch up but Bosse circles away and keeps his distance.

Star changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bosse looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Star laying and praying for a moment but Bosse takes advantage and regains half guard.
Bosse wants to control but Star is keeping busy.
Bosse is doing well to control the position and prevent Star from advancing to side control.

Star is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bosse has managed to free his arm - good work.

Bosse slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Star has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bosse bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Star's guard.
Bosse is looking to stand up but Star won't let him.
Bosse wants to control from the top but Star keeps moving.
Star is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Star uses the cage to get back to his feet.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bosse takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Nice takedown defense from Star. No joy for Bosse on that attempt.
A swing and a miss from Star.
Bosse tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Star throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Star lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bosse controls Star momentarily but Star frees himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bosse might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Star kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Star looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Star wants to clinch up but Bosse keeps it at a distance.

Star drives through with a takedown into guard.
Star looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bosse can't keep his opponent in guard - Star advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Star is trying to control. Bosse wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Star decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Star lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bosse circles away quickly and effectively.
Star works Bosse's body with a nice hook.
Bosse throws a quick inside leg kick.
Bosse scores with a one two! Star had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Bosse shoots in for a takedown but Star shows good takedown defense.

Star instigates a clinch.
Bosse tries for a takedown. No joy.
Bosse misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Star.

Star gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Star prevents Bosse from getting back to his feet.
Star preventing the sweep.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Star pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bosse is keeping the position for now.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bosse is on top in guard.
Bosse stops Star from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bosse trying to control but Star is working from the bottom.

Star is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bosse is aware though and is defending well.
Star has a closed guard, preventing Bosse from standing up.
Star manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Bosse tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bosse tries to lock up and control but Star gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Bosse wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Andry Star overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bosse tries to escape the position.
Star is riding his opponent, not letting Bosse buck him off.

Star missing with strikes from the back.
Star controlling well, preventing Bosse from escaping the position.
Bosse tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Bosse is looking to get to half guard.
Star in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Bosse is trying desperately to improve position.
Star looking to finish Bosse with some ground and pound. This is bad for Bosse!

Star swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Bosse is now in Star's guard. A big mistake from Star there, giving up the dominant position!

Star trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Star wants to get back to his feet but Bosse is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Star working a defensive guard but Bosse passes into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Andry Star.
I think Star has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
