Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robert Borden!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borden closes the distance and pushes Rivera back into the cage.
Borden breaks the clinch.
Rivera plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Borden drives through with a takedown into guard.
Borden postures up in Rivera's guard and throws a big left but Rivera blocks it.
Rivera keeping moving, preventing Borden from controlling successfully.
Borden controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Rivera wants to sweep but no luck.
Borden thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Borden trying to control but Rivera is working from the bottom.
Borden controlling from the top position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Borden fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Borden shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Borden slips a nice elbow through Rivera's hands, connecting with Rivera's forehead.
Borden seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rivera wants to get back to full guard.
Borden is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Borden looks gassed!
Rivera actively working from the bottom here.

Borden trying to control from half guard but Rivera is working away.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
No luck for Borden with that takedown attempt.
Rivera tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Borden on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
A shot to de liver by Rivera. Beautiful body shot.
Rivera scores with a crisp jab that stopped Borden in his tracks.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rivera uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Borden has time to react.
Borden is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rivera throws and low kick but Borden moves out of range easily.
Rivera walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Borden checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Rivera connects with a superb combination that knocks Borden out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Rivera before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Borden!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ernesto Rivera!
