The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Dias.
Dias tries to clinch there but Rocha Freire circles away.
Dias lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rocha Freire circles away quickly and effectively.
Rocha Freire misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Dias drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rocha Freire manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dias has Rocha Freire in his guard.

Dias is looking for a triangle but Rocha Freire pushes his legs off easily.

and Dias counters with a left and a right that stings Rocha Freire.

Rocha Freire avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rocha Freire wants to clinch but Dias slips to the side
and Dias counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dias trying to control the position from guard on top but Rocha Freire is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dias stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rocha Freire swivels though and keeps the full guard.
