The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fair fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shengu manages to avoid it.
Shengu misses with a double jab.
Shengu pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Fair shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Fair is keen to just control but Shengu is a slippery customer.
Shengu trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Shengu holds on to Fair as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
Fair looking to control but Shengu is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Shengu bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Fair wants to get back to his feet but Shengu is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Fair might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Shengu wants to stand but Fair has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Fair is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Shengu stands up and waves to Fair to follow him.
Niko Shengu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
No joy there for Shengu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Fair. Shengu shrugs it off though.

Fair lands a left and a right that send Shengu crashing to the mat, dazed. Fair thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Niko Shengu has been cut.
Fair throws a quick inside leg kick.

Fair has closed the distance and engaged Shengu in a clinch.
Shengu takes a knee right on the jaw!

Shengu is rocked!
Fair lands a hook that snaps the head of Shengu backwards.
Shengu is still on wobbly legs! Can Fair finish him?

Fair breaks the clinch.

Fair is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Shengu is in big trouble! Fair is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Shengu. Poor guy.
