The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn shoots in and drives through. Mitchell sprawls well.
Penn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mitchell.
Penn misses with a straight right.
Penn lands with a cross.
Mitchell closes the distance and pushes Penn back into the cage.
Mitchell keeps control of Penn as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Mitchell breaks the clinch.
Mitchell clinches up against the cage.

Penn tries to pull guard but Mitchell won't allow it.
Mitchell pushes Penn back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Penn fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Mitchell lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Penn backwards.

Penn dives in and grabs Mitchell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mitchell pushes down on Penn's head and hops out.
Mitchell tries to work over Penn's front leg with a kick but Penn checks it.
Mitchell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Penn.
Mitchell is looking to clinch but Penn is avoiding it.
Mitchell clinches up with Penn and pushes him back against the cage.

Mitchell is trying to drag Penn to the mat but Penn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
