PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Olivier Bouleau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maurizio Marchetti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bouleau comes into the arena with kevin rudolf - let it rock blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Marchetti counters with a series of strikes. Bouleau will be more careful next time no doubt.

Bouleau shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marchetti as he avoids it easily.
Marchetti dives in and grabs Bouleau's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bouleau pushes down on Marchetti's head and hops out.

Bouleau is breathing heavily.
Marchetti stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bouleau swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bouleau escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marchetti gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bouleau wants to sweep here but Marchetti controlling him for the moment.

Bouleau had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Marchetti defends it easily.

Bouleau is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marchetti defends well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Marchetti thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Bouleau is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Marchetti frees his head nicely. Oh but Bouleau has switched to an armbar! Marchetti is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
