The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eriksen swings for the body but Anderson moves out of range.

Anderson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Eriksen smiles and moves away.
Eriksen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Anderson moves away.

and Anderson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Eriksen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Anderson's head.
Eriksen tries to close the distance and clinch but Anderson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Eriksen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Anderson is controlling him.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Eriksen can do anything to dispel that myth.

Anderson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Anderson showed some decent athleticism there.
Anderson wants to pass to mount but Eriksen is defending the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anderson decides to stand and escape the position.

Anderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Eriksen's guard.
Eriksen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Will Anderson will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
