Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shinji Nishimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Kaiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Shinji Nishimura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Kaiser!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaiser defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nishimura.
Kaiser ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kaiser comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kaiser misses with a hook.
Kaiser fails to land with a series of punches.
Nishimura dodges the punch combination from Kaiser.
Kaiser lands a nice shot to the body.

Nishimura closes the distance and clinches.
Nishimura has Kaiser pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kaiser manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Nishimura drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kaiser gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Chris Kaiser just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kaiser throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nishimura stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Kaiser looks to land a combination but Nishimura avoids it well.
Kaiser is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Nishimura rather than just go for the knockout.
Nishimura shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kaiser pinned against the cage. Kaiser gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Chris Kaiser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nishimura moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Kaiser uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Nishimura feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kaiser bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Nishimura misses with a takedown attempt - Kaiser sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Kaiser scores with a crisp jab that stopped Nishimura in his tracks.

Kaiser lands a left and a right that send Nishimura crashing to the mat, dazed. Kaiser thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Kaiser lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nishimura at a distance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kaiser lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Oh Nishimura is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kaiser has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Kaiser tries to bum rush Nishimura with a series of wild strikes but Nishimura uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nishimura seems to have got his legs back now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nishimura doesn't manage to clinch there - Kaiser circles away.
Kaiser throws out a powerful jab.
Kaiser misses with a few strikes there.
Chris Kaiser is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Nishimura moves into range and clinches up with Kaiser.
Nishimura is trying to drag Kaiser to the mat but Kaiser just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Kaiser has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nishimura is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Nishimura gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Nishimura is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kaiser has managed to free his arm - good work.

Kaiser makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
A left lands for Kaiser.
Nishimura wants to land a leg kick but Kaiser is out of range.

Nishimura shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kaiser defends it nicely.
Kaiser fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Nishimura is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Kaiser knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Kaiser for a finish.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Nishimura is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kaiser doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nishimura.
