Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timbo Hansson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jony Jony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hansson comes to the cage accompanied by Ecstasy of Gold. Jony Jony has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jony closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Jony thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Jony decides to stand back up. Jony steps back and let's Hansson get back to his feet.
Jony avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hansson lands with a good body shot.

Hansson instigates a clinch.
Jony wants a takedown but no success here.
Hansson is pressed up against the cage. Jony has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hansson down to the mat. Hansson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hansson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Hansson has his foot on Jony's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jony works his way back into a safe position though.

Hansson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jony's guard.

Jony escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hansson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hansson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jony looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jony looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jony!
Hansson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jony seems to be working for a kimura but Hansson defends the submission attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hansson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jony looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hansson slows the pace down.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

and Hansson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
