The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lester takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Marty Lester seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lester throws a half hearted mid kick.
Lester doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lester is defended easily by almeida.
almeida tries to clinch up but Lester circles away and keeps his distance.
Lester moves in looking to clinch but almeida pushes him off.
almeida lands with a hook. Lester tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
almeida lands with an uppercut that bounces Lester off the cage and back into rage.

It looks like Marty Lester has been cut.

Lester lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but almeida circles away quickly and effectively.
almeida works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Lester tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but almeida swivels and escapes.
