Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marco Polo!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lang dives in and grabs Polo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Polo pushes down on Lang's head and hops out.
Marco Polo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A punch combination from Polo misses.
Polo doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Lang counters with a takedown into side control.
Lang working the body and head with strikes.
Lang scoring with punches and elbows.
Polo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lang wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Polo regains half guard.
Lang thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Lang looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Polo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lang is nestled in close to Polo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Polo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lang scores with a couple of nice shots.
Lang thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Polo's head.
Lang slips a nice elbow through Polo's hands, connecting with Polo's forehead.

Lang is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A slapping leg kick lands for Lang.

Lang forces Polo back against the ropes and clinches.

Polo jumps into guard, dragging Lang to the mat.

Lang gets to his feet. Polo looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lang is defended easily by Polo.
Polo tries for a takedown but Lang circles away easily

and Lang holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Polo fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Clubber Lang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Polo.
Lang is working for takedown but Polo is calmly controlling the position for now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lang throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Polo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Polo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lang defends well.
Lang postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Lang missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Lang is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Polo has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Lang is looking to defend but Polo has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Lang! Polo pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Lang taps out and this one is all over!
