Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Juliano Vongkhamchanh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pepito Tshabalala!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tshabalala keeps the fight on the outside.
Vongkhamchanh stuffs the takedown.
Horrible takedown by Tshabalala or perhaps it was just good defense by Vongkhamchanh which made him look bad.
Tshabalala closes the distance and clinches up with Vongkhamchanh, looking for a takedown. Tshabalala pushes Vongkhamchanh against the cage but Vongkhamchanh circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Juliano Vongkhamchanh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pepito Tshabalala.
A head kick from Vongkhamchanh lands but Tshabalala takes it in his stride.
A punch combination from Vongkhamchanh misses.
Vongkhamchanh lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Vongkhamchanh scores with a head kick.
Tshabalala shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vongkhamchanh but Vongkhamchanh pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tshabalala looks gassed!
Vongkhamchanh gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Tshabalala counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vongkhamchanh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tshabalala gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tshabalala stops Vongkhamchanh from standing up.

Vongkhamchanh is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Tshabalala wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Vongkhamchanh's closed guard. He's half up but Vongkhamchanh has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Vongkhamchanh pivots and extends the arm, Tshabalala falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Vongkhamchanh! Well done that man!
