Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Marvelous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ciprian Mukesha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marvelous comes to the cage accompanied by Gonna fly now. Mukesha has chosen Sound of Madness as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ciprian Mukesha!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Mukesha with that takedown attempt.
Marvelous tries to clinch there but Mukesha circles away.
Mukesha blocks a head kick by Marvelous.
Mukesha fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marvelous misses with a wild combination.
Mukesha looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marvelous is fending him off so far but Mukesha persists. Nope, Marvelous circles away and we're back to standing.

Mukesha drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mukesha stops Marvelous from standing up.
Mukesha trying to control the position from guard on top but Marvelous is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mukesha passes Marvelous's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mukesha looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Marvelous wants to get back to full guard.
Marvelous throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Mukesha stands up and beckons Marvelous to join him on the feet.
Marvelous misses with a double jab
and Mukesha counters with a two punch combo.

Mukesha looks for a takedown but Marvelous sprawls well.
Melvin Marvelous has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ciprian Mukesha.
Mukesha dodges the punch combination from Marvelous.
Mukesha has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Marvelous finds it's way round the side to connect with Mukesha's head.

Marvelous walks into a stiff left hand from Mukesha.

Mukesha shoots in but no luck this time.
Mukesha fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Mukesha shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mukesha was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Marvelous squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Marvelous has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Marvelous wants to get back to his feet.
You can see the frustration on Marvelous's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Marvelous controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Mukesha sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Marvelous taps out!
