The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karatus looks to land a right hand but Crudele moved out of range.
Karatus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Karatus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

It looks like Antonio Crudele has been cut.
Crudele tries to clinch but Karatus is having none of it.
Antonio Crudele seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Karatus tries to close the distance and clinch up but Crudele swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Crudele lands a left and a right that send Karatus crashing to the mat, dazed. Crudele thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Karatus creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Crudele sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Karatus goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Crudele rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Karatus's guard! Nice work there by Crudele!

Karatus pushes Crudele off and scrambles back to his feet.

Karatus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Crudele is fending him off so far but Karatus persists. Nope, Crudele circles away and we're back to standing.

Crudele tries to close the distance and clinch up but Karatus swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Karatus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Crudele circles away quickly and effectively.

Crudele lands a big head kick that sends Karatus tumbling to the mat! Crudele takes a step backwards and waves Karatus back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Karatus is rocked!
Crudele finds Karatus's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Karatus flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Crudele lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Karatus will be OK.
