Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Read Ro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ro comes into the arena with CAN A CAN GET A WHAT WHAT blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ro paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ro ducks right into an uppercut from Bird.
Bird tests Ro's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ro displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bird.

Bird takes the fight into the clinch.
Bird has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Ro lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bird backwards.
Bird blocks a body shot from Ro.
Ro misses with a punch on the inside.
Bird goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ro prevents it.
Bird fails to pull guard.
Read Ro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big Bird.

Ro wants to get back to striking at distance but Bird won't allow it.
Bird changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ro fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bird fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ro throws a series of punches but Bird avoids them all with ease.
Bird closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ro circles away.
Bird takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Read Ro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bird gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Bird shoots for a double leg takedown but Ro sprawls well. He's pushed Bird's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bird has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Bird looks gassed!
Ro throws a lazy right hand but Bird sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bird shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bird tries to clinch but Ro moves out of range.
Ro connects with a looping right hand.
Bird shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ro scores with a one two! Bird had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Ro takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bird displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ro throws out the jab.
Ro scores with a hook to the body. Bird takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Bird takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ro connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A decent looking cross lands there for Ro.
Ro lands with an uppercut that bounces Bird off the cage and back into rage.
Ro misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Ro lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Ro scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bird doesn't seem bothered though.
Bird doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Ro just misses with a punch to the body.
Ro lunges at Bird with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bird's hand.

Bird is rocked!
Ro lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bird at a distance.
Bird is still on wobbly legs! Can Ro finish him?
Ro is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Bird takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Bird seems to have recovered his senses.
Ro is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ro swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Ro stuns Bird with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bird avoids a punch combination nicely.
A slow jab from Ro misses its intended target.

Ro lands a nice hook to Bird's body. Bird takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Bird walks into a left hand.
Ro lands with a right that hurts Bird. Bird looks to clinch but Ro throws a short knee that drops Bird. This one is all over!
