The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phlung Dung swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Phlung Dung tries to clinch up.
Liddell takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Hu Phlung Dung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Phlung Dung looks to land a combination but Liddell avoids it well.
Phlung Dung's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Phlung Dung duly obliges.
Liddell shoots in but no luck this time.
Phlung Dung tries to bum rush Liddell with a series of wild strikes but Liddell uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Phlung Dung misses with a few strikes there.
Phlung Dung throws a series of punches but Liddell avoids them all with ease.
Liddell tries for a takedown but Phlung Dung sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Good leg kick by Phlung Dung there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Liddell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Phlung Dung circles away.

Phlung Dung throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Liddell.

Phlung Dung fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Liddell, pushing him back against the cage.
Phlung Dung tries to break the clinch but Liddell is controlling the position.
Liddell is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Phlung Dung pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Liddell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Phlung Dung is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Liddell is breathing heavily.

Liddell wants to get back to striking at distance but Phlung Dung won't allow it.
Phlung Dung keeps control of Liddell as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Liddell changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Phlung Dung fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Liddell closes the distance and clinches up with Phlung Dung, looking for a takedown. Liddell pushes Phlung Dung against the cage but Phlung Dung circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Phlung Dung buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Liddell misses with a takedown attempt - Phlung Dung sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Phlung Dung fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Phlung Dung swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Horrible takedown by Liddell or perhaps it was just good defense by Phlung Dung which made him look bad.
A combination from Phlung Dung does no damage.

Liddell closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Liddell thows a huge punch but Phlung Dung dodges it nicely.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Phlung Dung is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Liddell flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Liddell is out cold! Phlung Dung holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
