Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shim Sham!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Logan Louis!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sham takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Sham pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sham avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sham rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Louis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sham throws a left and a right that both miss

and Louis counters with a shoot takedown. Sham fights it but they end up in guard.

Sham pushes Louis off and gets back to his feet.
Sham falls off balance throwing a combination
and Louis counters with a two punch combo.
Sham drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Sham has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Louis slips under a jab from Sham.
Louis misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sham falls off balance throwing a combination

and Louis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sham's guard now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Louis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sham is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sham is looking to stand up but Louis isn't so interested in that idea.

Sham trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Louis stands and steps away. Sham gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Louis counters with a nice body shot.
Sham throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Louis avoids a punch combination nicely.

Louis tests Sham's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Shim Sham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sham lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Louis pushes Sham up against the cage in a clinch.

Louis gets control of Sham's arms and successfully pulls guard. Louis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Sham wants to get up but he can't break Louis's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Sham wants to stand but Louis is controlling his posture from full guard.
Sham has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Sham decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Louis, up you get!
Louis lands a slapping body shot.
Louis displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sham throws out the jab.
Sham misses with a combination
and Louis counters with a one-two to the body.

Louis rushes Sham and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sham lands with a right to the head.
Louis misses with an elbow over the top.

Louis breaks from the clinch.
Louis scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Sham looks to throw the jab but Louis is out of range.
Sham lands a nice shot to the body.
Louis looks gassed!
Sham lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.


It looks like Logan Louis has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Good standup being displayed there by Sham as he connects with a hook.


Louis is rocked!
Sham circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Louis to the canvas! Louis doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Sham keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shim Sham!
