The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madden shoots for a takedown but Halaus saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Halaus closes the distance and clinches up with Madden, looking for a takedown. Halaus pushes Madden against the cage but Madden circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that David Madden will probably get the nod.
