Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vinny Veechi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Aces High (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aces High is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Knock em Dead Kid. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veechi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Veechi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Aces High.

Veechi closes the distance and clinches up with Aces High, looking for a takedown. Veechi pushes Aces High against the cage but Aces High circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Aces High goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Aces High counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Veechi shoots for a double leg takedown but Aces High sprawls well. He's pushed Veechi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Veechi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Aces High manages to avoid it.

Veechi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Aces High. That did some damage!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
