The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rekker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rekker jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

It looks like Bruce Hardchin has been cut.
Hardchin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rekker.
Rekker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Rekker throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hardchin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hardchin dodges the punch combination from Rekker.
Hardchin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rekker throws out the jab.
Rekker throws a looping overhand right but Hardchin ducks down to avoid it.
Hardchin shoots in looking for a takedown. Rekker tries to sprawl out of it but Hardchin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Rekker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rekker throws a series of punches but Hardchin avoids them all with ease.
Hardchin fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rekker throws a jab but it's blocked by Hardchin.
Rekker misses with a two punch combination.
Rekker thows a body shot but no joy.
Hardchin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rekker pinned against the cage. Rekker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruce Hardchin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hardchin shoots in and drives through. Rekker sprawls well.

Hardchin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Hardchin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Rekker has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hardchin has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Rekker has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Hardchin is defending well but eventually Rekker manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Hardchin has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
