Royer is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by 2Г5Р1О7Т - Дым. Dest Royer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dest Royer!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Royer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Some wild striking there from Royer.
Dest Royer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Munoz looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Munoz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Royer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Royer has his hands on Munoz's head, controlling the position.
Munoz wants to stand but Royer is controlling his posture from full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Munoz isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Royer stacks Munoz on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Royer!

Munoz is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Royer has just dragged him back down to the mat.
You can see the frustration on Munoz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Munoz wants to finish this one by submission but Royer is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Munoz.

Munoz is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Royer to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Royer shrugs it off.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Munoz moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Royer has worked his arm free - good work by Royer!

Munoz jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Royer is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Royer and Munoz has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Royer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Munoz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

I would just about give that final round to Dest Royer.
Well Munoz has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
