The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrews drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Andrews swings for the body but Lao moves out of range.
Andrews dodges the punch combination from Lao.
Lao misses with a two punch combination.
Alex Andrews seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Andrews thows a body shot but no joy.
Lao throws a low kick but it's checked well by Andrews.
Andrews slips under a jab from Lao.

Lao tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Andrews will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Andrews tries to bum rush Lao with a series of wild strikes but Lao uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Lao lands a big head kick that sends Andrews tumbling to the mat! Lao takes a step backwards and waves Andrews back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Alex Andrews has been cut.

Andrews throws a push kick but Lao slaps the foot to one side.
Kung Lao is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Andrews takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Lao throws a head kick that misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Andrews crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lao - the referee stops the clock and Andrews gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lao. Andrews manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Lao works over Andrews's head and body with a nice combination.
Lao throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Andrews is rocked!
Andrews walks straight into a right hand from Lao - that's dropped him! Lao jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Andrews from any more punishment! Andrews complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
