Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frito Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kristofer Torner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kristofer Torner will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Torner or perhaps it was just good defense by Lei which made him look bad.
Lei stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lei wants it to stay on the feet.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Torner.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lei crunches a lovely knee into Torner's ribcage.

Torner is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lei can't fight it off and eventually Torner manages to take the fight to the floor. Lei looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lei fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Torner, pushing him back against the cage.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Torner feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Torner slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that Torner has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Torner decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lei's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Torner drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lei dives on top into guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Frito Lei.
I think Lei has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
